Manurewa Intermediate Orientation

Arriving at Manurewa Intermediate was okay but i didn't know what it would feel like because staying in the middle of people who are bigger than was was kind of scary.

Entering the gates some students were standing there to greet us and put sticker on our school shirts. As we walked towards the gigantic hall we heard voices inside. Their school hall was very big compared to our school hall because their hall was big and our school hall was kind of school. The best thing about their hall was that there where seats and we didn't have to sit on the ground and also the seats where very nice and comfy. I was so amazed because their school was completely different to our school.

As Mr Taylor the principle and Mrs Taylor one of the teachers entered the hall the principle gave everyone a warm welcome and introduced us to the students who where going to take us around the school. He told us all the information we needed to know while we where there.Miss Clements our fabulous teacher looked so excited because she had a big bright smile on her face.

I was in group 1 with the school councillor so i had to sit in front of her. Our first activity was a test it was really easy and it had 50 questions on it. It was a vocabulary test. After the test we went into the ICT suite there we met a teacher who was waiting for us. He sounded like a very kind and friendly person. He showed us some pictures of the past events at Manurewa Intermediate. There were heaps of amazing pictures because there was the culture night and Rewa's got talent to show your dance and singing skills or any other kind of talent. There were heaps of opportunities.

Then we went to the park for a couple of minutes and the name of their park was the MEAN METAL MACHINE. Everything was made out of metal and also it was all high.

We took a small tour around the school and took a look at some classes. After the four we went to the arts and drama. As soon a we reached to the class we had to take off our shoes and also line up quietly waiting for the teacher. We played fruit salad and many games.

As the session was completed everyone had to go back to the hall and wait their. We had a few items by the students and then it was morning tea.

memories

Memories are very special. They remind us of
wonderful, sad, and even angry times we have had.
But the ones that are happy are the ones that warm
your heart. Whenever you think of them, you feel
love, joy, peace, and even contentment.
One of my special memories is about my big sister.
My sister always brought me her chocolate from school and we played alot together.
She is 20 years old but she still acts like a 10 year old because she fights with me and she plays tiggy with me and we play heaps of fun games.

Why is important to be honest

It is important to be honest, because only the truth can set you free. Lies and deception weigh heavy on the conscious in the back of our minds. It is best to be bold and honest, rather than kick yourself later for wishing you had just told the truth in the first place. Being honest is gaining someones trust. Sometimes people are honest but sometimes they have to lie.
Honesty can be really important in life. I remember once when i told a lie just to save a friend and after that i thought in my mind why didnt i be honest with my teacher. So all i did was went and told the truth there was a conscious but we took it anyway because we were being honest.
So remember Honesty is the best policy

Helping eachother and being honest

Schools Nearly Finished

Wow school is nearly finished it just seems like it re-opened yesterday. But I am excited and kind of sad. I am excited because I’m going back home in Australia for a visit and I don’t have to wake up so early to do road patrol or come to school. I won’t have to write or read nor do moths. I will be able to go out with my friend in Australia and I will get to go out for holidays and have late night parties. But the bad thing is that I am going to miss my friends because next year I won’t be able to see them. Also I will not see my favorite teachers either. I will not learn every day. I will have to get ready for my new school which is not primary but intermediate.
This year I was in some groups like CDL, Road patrol, Cross country, Weetbix triathlon.
The things that I really enjoyed this year was making pizza and selling it to the school our trip to extreme edge and our CDL trip to paradise ice skating and rainbows end.

My first all blacks game

I woke up so excited because it was going to be my first all blacks’ game and it was against Argentina. I quickly rushed down stairs to my dad and yelled out “COME ON QUICKLY GO GET READY FOR THE GAME” my dad was so amazed to see me in such excitement. From Botany we had to drive to Eden Park because that’s where the game was held. While we drove to Eden Park I saw heaps of all blacks’ supports and I held my flag out the window and started to yell GO ALL BLACKS because that’s what everybody else was doing. As soon as we reached Eden Park I rushed out of the car and ran towards the gate as fast as I could. There was a long line but I couldn’t wait I just wanted to get into the stadium and watch the all black play. There were quite a few supports for Argentina. As the game started everyone started to scream as soon as they saw the all blacks enter the field. Heaps of cheering was going on and the Atmosphere was great that I can’t describe it. For the first 10 minutes everyone was cheering but when Argentina scored a try everyone was shocked because they thought that all blacks would make the first try of the game. But they did make the first penalty of the game. They didn’t score any tries but they were ahead of Argentina. After the 1st half I started to cheer for the Argentineans because there was not much cheering for them I wanted them to be cheered like the all blacks. The last ten minutes were nearly up and everyone knew who was going to win the All Blacks.
That was the end of the game and everyone jumped up in excitement because the all blacks had won!

What it means to be a kiwi

What it means to be a New Zealander to me is living in a clean, green, tidy country where people are nice and care about each other. There is not as much crime on the streets as in other countries. I love the surroundings, like forests, animals and native plants.

I like having not to go too far to go to school. I like being able to get to the beach whenever I want because it's just down the road. I like the fact that our classrooms aren't packed with students like in some countries. Our country is one of the really really lucky ones so keep our country clean, green and tidy.

The old witch

There was once a little girl who was very willful and who never obeyed when her elders spoke to her - so how could she be happy?
One day she said to her parents, "I have heard so much of the old witch that I will go and see her. People say she is a wonderful old woman, and has many marvelous things in her house, and I am very curious to see them."'
But her parents forbade her going, saying, "The witch is a wicked old woman, who performs many godless deeds - and if you go near her, you are no longer a child of ours."
The girl, however, would not turn back at her parents' command, but went to the witch's house. When she arrived there the old woman asked her:
"Why are you so pale?"
"Ah," she replied, trembling all over, "I have frightened myself so with what I have just seen."
"And what did you see?" inquired the old witch.
"I saw a black man on your steps."
"That was a collier," replied she.
"Then I saw a gray man."
"That was a sportsman," said the old woman.
"After him I saw a blood-red man."
"That was a butcher," replied the old woman.
"But, oh, I was most terrified," continued the girl, "when I peeped through your window, and saw not you, but a creature with a fiery head."
"Then you have seen the witch in her proper dress," said the old woman. "For you I have long waited, and now you shall give me light."
So saying the witch changed the little girl into a block of wood, and then threw it on the fire. When it was fully alight, she sat down on the hearth and warmed herself, saying:
"How good I feel! The fire has not burned like this for a long time!"

The snow drop

The snow lay deep, for it was winter time. The winter winds blew cold, but there was one house where all was snug and warm. And in the house lay a little flower - in its bulb it lay, under the earth and the snow.
One day the rain fell and it trickled through the ice and snow down into the ground. And presently a sunbeam, pointed and slender, pierced down through the earth, and tapped on the bulb.
"Come in," said the flower.
"I can't do that," said the sunbeam - "I'm not strong enough to lift the latch. I shall be stronger when springtime comes."
"When will it be spring?" asked the flower of every little sunbeam that rapped on its door. But for a long time it was winter. The ground was still covered with snow, and every night there was ice in the water. The flower grew quite tired of waiting.
"How long it is!" it said. "I feel quite cramped. I must stretch myself and rise up a little. I must lift the latch, and look out, and say 'good morning' to the spring."
So the flower pushed and pushed. The walls were softened by the rain and warmed by the little sunbeams, so the flower shot up from under the snow, with a pale green bud on its stalk and some long narrow leaves on either side. It was biting cold.
"You are a little too early," said the wind and the weather - but every sunbeam sang, "Welcome," and the flower raised its head from the snow and unfolded itself - pure and white, and decked with green stripes.
It was weather to freeze it to pieces - such a delicate little flower, but it was stronger than any one knew. It stood in its white dress in the white snow, bowing its head when the snowflakes fell, and raising it again to smile at the sunbeams, and every day it grew sweeter.
"Oh!" shouted the children, as they ran into the garden, "see the snowdrop! There it stands so pretty, so beautiful - the first, the only one!"

The Fairy Castle

My favorite season

My favorite season is always summer because its sunny and you get to do cool activities like going to the beach and having a picnic or just playing around with some friends outside. You get to go to attractions and theme parks and you don’t have to think about if its going to rain or not. You can also go out for holidays because summer is part of the school holidays and you get to spend time with your family and have a little get together.
Summer is Great!

I just saw a dinosaur in my backyard!

One beautiful summer morning I woke up and saw a huge dinosaur in my back yard I was terrified and didn’t know what to do so then I ran screaming down the stairs and yelling out dad look there is a dinosaur in our back yard. Make it go away before it eats us ahhhh.
My dad quickly grabbed the phone and called 111 and said “ There is a dinosaur in my back yard that is trying to eat us” “don’t call to the police station and tell lies that is impossible” said the police officer “ I’m not telling lies why don’t you quickly get here before we are all dead”.
“Alright then I’m on my way” “thank you very much officer”
15 minutes later the police arrived and as soon as he saw the dinosaur he couldn’t believe it so he ran off and left the police car behind.
Calling the police was no help so we went running to our next door neighbor and asked if he had some kind of potion for taking a dinosaur away because he was a scientist.
He gave me a purple color potion and told me to spread it onto the ground. As I slowly walked near to the dinosaur it made a big roar and I was so scared.  I spread the potion everywhere and as soon as I saw the dinosaur step into the potion I was so glad because 3 seconds later it had vanished.
My dad and I went running to the police station and told them that everything is ok now the dinosaur has vanished and we don’t need any help. After going to the police station we went to my next door neighbor’s house and thanked him for his help.

The best friends on holiday

It was the school Holidays both of the best friends Shyniya and Jasmine were going to Australia. When they got there it was night. They found their limo at the airport. Then the driver took them to their royal palace and took their bags into their great big rooms. The next day they woke up and decided to go to candy land. They got there and they was the building candy land so they ran inside and inside it was pink as a pig and blue as the sky. They were amazed. They went and ate so many lollies and also they got some inside the candy cave and walked around and they saw so many things made out of candy that they wanted to buy everything but they could not fit it in their bags to take back to new Zealand. Then they heard a strange sort of noise. They both went and looked around and they didn’tsee anything. Later they heard it again then they turned back and they saw monsters so they screamed and ran as fast as they could and were finding a good place to hide. Then they saw the candy cave and they went inside and ate lollies while they were hiding then Jasmine said “this cave is dark as a night isn’t it” “yeah” said Shyniya and then they saw the monsters and they hoped that the monsters wouldn’t see them so they sat quietly and then when the monsters had disappeared they sneaked as quietly as a mouse and went back to the limo and told the driver to drive them back to the palace and the next morning they backed their bags to go back to New Zealand.

The Best Family Moment

The best family moment was when the whole family went to the beach for a picnic it was a blast because everyone had an awesome time.
The awesome thing that we all did was going swimming at the beach my auntie was so scared because she thought that there was a shark!
But then I told her that there will be no sharks and plus you don’t have to worry because if you want to get changed and do something else I am happy to do it.

Minutes later it was lunch time we had for lunch yummy HOT FISH & CHIPS.
For our drinks we had coke and fanta but I had chosen coke because I love coke so much.
Then we went to play on the play ground and I asked cousin’s if I could go on the swings and they said yes.
Later it was time to go home and that was the best family moment ever.

The Best Dad Ever

My dad is great because he is caring and also he is a great person. He always helps me when I need him and when im hurt he cheers me up. My dad loves me more than anything even money. He always tries to keep me happy and also gives me anything I want even really expensive things. When it comes to school work my dad is always happy to help for example helping me with my homework and sometimes when I have to get ready for a race or something. My dad always has time for me even when he is busy or is doing something important. Im proud of my dad because he is a very hard working person and he has talent and I like him for who he really is.

My Fantastic Grandma

I remember when my grandma and I used to go for walks together. She would always ask me if I was ok and if I needed anything but all I would say is “I love you grandma”.  My grandma would always smile at me when I would say that and she would me sometimes as well. She always liked to wear a long skirt and a top with her gold earring and a black hair band on top. She has a husband and 3 children who are now really big. She lives right here in New Zealand with me, my dad and my uncle. My grandma is a very caring person. I love my grandma very much because she is really important to me she has helped me out on hundreds of things but I can always say that she is like my mum. I always stay with my grandma even when she is going somewhere away from me.

Listen in Class

Don’t you just think that its a waste of time letting your teacher growling other people because they don’t try, well I do.
Or its a waste of time your parents asking your teacher to teach you something  because if you do nothing , people don’t want to bother listening or responding .

Are you at your national standards yet? if not  get to it !!!!!!
It won’t just be your parents mad also your perfect hired teacher.
Because your teacher has worked so hard getting you  to national standards,
If you back down now wow  you are not really  cool people are gonna hate you for not working hard.
So work hard everyone.  Make your own teacher proud,I always make my teacher proud and thats why I  want everyone to listen in class.

Why do we need friends

When I think of a friend, these are some things I think about A person I can trust? A person I get along with really well? Someone who has the same sense of humor as I do? A friend is any person who fits these descriptions, as well as many others. It’s important to have friends because it’s important to have a “support system” of people you can depend on. When I think of “friends” I often think of people we aren’t related to, like a kid you know from school or from the house next door. But friends can definitely also include your relatives like siblings, cousins, or even parents! – The neat thing about friends is that they come in lots of shapes and sizes, and there’s no limit on how many you can have!

Some people have a really easy time making friends, while others take longer getting to know people. As I grow up, I might find that I like having lots and lots of different friends, or that I prefer having just one or two friends that I’m really, really close to!

Enchanted Journey

Hello! I am the king of England and I am very ill.The only thing that can cure me is the magic stone.I must get two of my people to journey to the east to find the stone and bring it back to cure me.

" I know who I will send I will send Luke and Christopher Clifton."Immediately the king sent for Christopher and Luke and told them what they must do and what they would need. The next day at dawn they set off to find the magic stone. They traveled east until sun set then they set up camp. For they were going to set off again at the very crack of dawn. They carried on with this routine for another 18 weeks for after 18 weeks they finally reached the castle of which the stone lay in the highest room in the tallest tower. "We will split up you go left and i will go right to find the stairs to the magic stone ok? said Luke. "Ok" said Christopher "And we will meet back here in 1 hour." "See you later then ok?" Said Luke "yep see you later" replied Christopher. So off they went in search of the stone. Luke was first to find a stairway but only half an hour after Luke had found that certain stairway Christopher found one. Fifteen minutes later they were both telling each other what they had found out. "We will go and see where your stair way leads to first" said Christopher. "Ok" replied Luke "lead the way" said Christopher. "Right you are" said Luke and off he went. Luke's stair way only lead to a dead end but Christopher's did not Christopher's lead to the very room they were looking for. The stone was in a chest that Christopher opened. He grabbed the stone and they both went down the stairs and out of the castle. It was very cold and dark outside. Christopher got his torch out of his rucksack and turned it on. One hour later a very slimy, hairy and scary monster came out of the trees hid behind a bush and watched Christopher and Luke. Just then the monster growled and Christopher heard him. "What was that?" asked Christopher in a very scared voice. "Probably just the wind" replied Luke. "No honestly it wasn't it was sort of a growling noise "said Christopher now in a very hurried way. "You try listening and see if you can hear it" said Christopher. The monster growled again and that time Luke heard it. "That noise?" he asked. "Yes that noise" replied Christopher. At that very moment the monster came out of the bush he was hiding behind, jumped on Luke and started attacking him. For a few minutes Christopher just stood still in amazement he was also very scared. Suddenly he remembered that Luke was his brother and that he must save him. He very quickly got the king's magic sword out of his rucksack and stabbed it into the monster. As the king said they took the dead monster back to the king.18 weeks later they arrived at the king's palace they rushed to the king's bedroom and knocked on the king's door. "Enter" said the king. Christopher and Luke entered the room and handed the king the stone. The king put on his heart and was once more well again.

Ghost Story

Psssst I've a story to tell you. Pull yourself closer to the fire - you may need its warmth to comfort you. This is the story of Lady Elizabeth Grey.

It had been raining heavily all week. It always seemed to rain in Yorkshire. Elizabeth gazed wistfully at the misty window watching the raindrops race to the bottom of the windowpane. She picked up her book once again only to return it to its place on the table a few minutes later. The story did not seem to interest her. Her thoughts lay with her favourite horse Blackie back at home in Leicestershire. She hoped Blackie would be all right. She didn't trust George, although he had been their butler for the last eight years, to look after him properly. George never seemed to like horses after his bad fall in the Boxing Day Hunt the year before. She started day dreaming - imagining the days last summer when she had ridden Blackie around the park. She wished she could be there right now. The creak of the door opening startled her. She turned round to see her father, Edward, standing in the doorway. He smiled, a warm welcome. He explained he had hired a Hanson cab to take her back to the house in Leicestershire that very afternoon and that he would be delayed by a few days as he had some business to attend to.

Thoughts raced around Elizabeth's head. What if Blackie is ill? What if she met highwaymen on the way? What would she say to the butler? She didn't feel she wanted to be on her own in the house with him. It would have been so much nicer if her father could have come with her. She would have felt safer with him there. His business would take at least three more days he had said and Yorkshire had turned out to be such a dreadful place. At least she would be able to see whether Blackie was safe with her own eyes and she could be certain of a warm welcome from the friendly black dogs.

The rain lashed at the roof of the cab almost urging the horses to gallop faster. The wind howled like wolves, buffeting the cab's doors. The horse's hooves clattered on the cobbled stones. Faster and faster the driver urged the horses on as if their lives depended on it. In the distance thunder rumbled like a hungry bear's stomach. A great spear of light suddenly shot out of the black sky, illuminating the surroundings for a split second. She thought she could see faces staring at her from the trees. She stifled a scream as she thought she saw George's face in a gnarled old tree but told herself not to be so silly. Moments later the cab drew up outside her house.

The sound of the bell echoed in the stony silence. From deep within the house she could hear the sound of the dogs barking excitedly as they rushed toward the hall. The butler nastily told the dogs to be quiet. The old oak door creaked slowly open to reveal the hunched figure of the butler. His tiny grey eyes narrowed to thin slits. He had not expected her home so soon. The dogs leapt upon her licking her face and rubbing her with cold wet noses. George's cold bony, skeleton hand stretched out towards her bags. They walked in single file up the narrow staircase. The eerie light from the candles danced shadows on the wall. A cold, icy breeze sent a sudden chill down her spine. She shivered. She had forgotten how cold the old house could be. She managed to keep her head high and seem fearless as they entered her bedroom. George dumped her bags on her four poster bed and disappeared without saying a word. Feeling tired after her long journey, Elizabeth got ready for bed. She took the precaution of locking her door first. Rummaging through her bag she found her grey dress. She ironed away the creases with her hand as best she could and laid it on her chair ready for the morning. Her long mass of flowing curls bounced onto her shoulders as she undid the pins securing her bun. After completing all of these tasks she climbed into her cold bed, shivering beneath the sheets. Tossing and turning for what seemed like hours, she eventually fell fast asleep.

It was a lovely sunny day when Edward made his return journey home. The steady beat of the horses' hooves on the cobbled stones was music to his ears. His thoughts turned to riding with his daughter. The patchwork blanket of fields spread out on either side of him, as far as the eye could see. Wisps of smoke spiralled up from farm workers' cottages. Inhaling the peaceful air, he slipped into a deep sleep. Crunch! A wheel going over a large stone woke him up with a start. He gazed out of the window still half asleep to see where he was but the sight that met his eyes took him totally by surprise. There in front of him was George, the butler, hanging from a tree branch. He shuddered and wondered what had happened and whether his precious daughter would be harmed. Moments later his cab drew up outside the house.

Edward jumped out of the cab and ran towards the house. He called to Elizabeth but got no reply. He flung open the large oak door and raced upstairs calling again and again to Elizabeth. At the top of the stairs he could see Elizabeth's bedroom door open and Elizabeth lying perfectly still on the bed. He approached the bed slowly and quietly knelt down beside her. To his horror he saw that she was dead - she had been murdered with a sharp, kitchen knife. He span round to see the lock had been forced open. He picked up her favourite dress that had been so carefully arranged on her chair and laid it alongside her. With his head in his hands he sat in the chair and wept bitterly.

So that was it, the story of Lady Elizabeth Grey and today is the 200th anniversary of her death. The ghost of Lady Elizabeth Grey, wearing her favourite grey dress is usually seen on this day walking in the direction of the stables. Ah, that's the clock in the village chiming midnight. She will be here shortly.

A Pirate Adventure

Captain Scurvy Dog was sailing the high seas in a polished wood ship with a full crew and a dog the color of pickles probably because the dog was seasick.

Lazzy Bob was a fat man, who nevered heard of the word "work!" Thomas was a handsome young man, with blue misty hair who always tricked people to do his work.Boostrap Bill was a very hard worker. He made Captain Scurvy Dog's ship.He was the least gullible of Thomas' tricks. Jake was the youngest a 13 year old with green yellow hair.

" Man the wheel" Captain Scurvy Dog yelled. All the men and woman were in panic. They were in a tempest storm. At last they landed on a remote island with purple pom trees, and bright pink banapples.

"Where are we?" Jake and Thomas asked in unison.
"We're in the Bermuda Triangle, home to the world's weirdest things such as hydras, pousionious banapples the melt your teeth, purple water made from phoenix tears like Fawkes here. There is also Hade's Gate, where the worst people must live. Do you understand where are at now? "
Jake and the rest of the crew nodded their heads. Captain Scurvy Dog's explanation hadn't really reassured them.

" Fire the cannons, use your guns! " Captain Scurvy Dog yelled.
"We're being attacked" yelled the crew.
The crewmates were running around going to their stations in a blink of an eye.

" To your stations! " Captain Scurvy Dog yelled.

Is TV a bad influence

People often talk about how television is a bad influence on children and how it teaches them violence and bad habits.

Some people think that television shows teach young kids how to be cheeky, violent and to use bad language. Also they say advertisements make kids greedy and that kids should be getting exercise outdoors instead of watching tv for hours.

Other people think that television is educational and teaches kids all about these things they couldn’t experience. They say there was plenty of violence, bad language greed before TV was invented and that sport shown on TV encourages kids to try lots of sports for themselves.

Lots of nice people watch TV. They aren’t rude or violent or greedy. I think TV is good for you only sometimes but not all the time.

Celebrating Guyforks night with my Family.

On Saturday 5th of November I and my family celebrated guy forks night. My dad had brought me 2 boxes and my uncle had brought me 1 huge box from the warehouse. Before going to my uncles’ house where we were mostly going to light the fireworks I went to my cousins house because they wanted me to come and join them lighting their fireworks so I took 1 box with me to share with them.
It was funny because my little cousin started to run into the house because he was scared and thought that the fireworks would back fire towards him. But on the time he didn’t run he firework did back shot but he was lucky because I grabbed him and put him out of the way.
At 10:00pm I went to my uncle’s house to celebrate with my uncle and grandma and my awesome aunty. I lit the fireworks up and they were fabulous they exploded in many different patterns and colors which were quiet cool.

We were up till 12:00am because I was having so much fun. But at 11:00pm I saw some very special walk into the gate it was my sister and her husband. I got so excitied and started to run as fast as I could towards my sister because I thought she wasn’t going to be with us on a really cool event.

I really enjoyed lighting up fireworks and celebrating and also spending time with my loving and caring family.

Room1's trip to extreme edge

On Friday 20th of May 2011 room1 went on a "Farewell Mrs Wiersma" trip to Extreme Edge indoor rock climbing in Panmure. We had also planned a shared lunch for the day as well. Our adults that were helping us were Mrs Wiersma(our Beautiful Teacher) Whea Donna (Our wonderful reliver) her husband Mr Cowley and Matua Jo (Our Bus Driver).
We left school around 9. When we got there i got so scared and tired but i still had no choice. Everyone was pushing and rushing to get outside. Finally we were sitting inside the building. 2 staff members walked into the entrance and introduced themselves.
After introducing themselves they started to explain how rock climbing goes and how to wear the harness. First they gave each of us harnesses and then they got Hope up and they used her as their model for How to put a harness on. When we wore the harnesses we got wedges.
We were split into 2 groups because there were so many of us. I was in team 1. Team 1 went on a blue and yellow wall and team 2 went on another one.
We had 2 models from the class to do a demonstration for the class. For our team Izach was one because he had been to Extreme Edge. For the other group Jasmine was one too.
Izach showed us how to climb up and how to get down. They only told Izach to go halfway because otherwise it will take long.
We had to go on the automatic rope ones because the helpers weren’t ready to help us on the otherwall where you needed a person below to help you climb.
After the demonstration we all got a chance to climb on all the automatic walls. Dylan went on the wall that our group had went on. The first automatic wall i had climbed was the kites one with tress and sheeps.  I reached the top. Mrs Wiersma also told me to stay up there because she wanted to take a picture of me.
Then  i went to climb on the solar system wall. It was so cool Whea Donna mentioned to me while climbing that when i go past the planets i have to say the name because the planets is kind of our topic in class.
After the solar system wall i went on the Gorillawith the helicopter on top. I was having a race with Horiana and she lost but then i said nice try to her.
Then I went to the other walls. The first wall i went on was the nice and easy one because it was a practice. That wall had a picture of a house and a swan lake as well.

Next i went on the harder ones because i wanted to try one. I was having so much fun on the big walls. Most of the time Mr Cowley helped me climb and sometimes Whea Donna.

I didn’thave a turn with Mrs Wiersma because she was firstly letting the others go first because she wanted everybody to have a turn on the big walls.  I climbed heaps of them and some were very difficult to climb.
Then Mrs Wiersma asked me if i could help with the shared lunch because no one had helped. I went into the bus and quickly gave the boxes to Matua Jo and Mrs Wiersma. I held a very light one with heaps of chips in it.
We took the boxs to the top and we planned to sit down there and eat.
There were so many yummy food on the table i couldn't decide what to eat first.
I had brought some chicken sandwiches and LOL drinks for my friends and Mrs Wiersma.
In 2 Seconds my Chicken Sandwiches were gone and i only got to have 1. Mrs Wiersma's Afghans where very tasty :) :).
After eating Mrs Wiersma told the class to sit down for 10 minutes and wait till the food was digested properly.
The Boys where out first to go and start climbing because they had only eaten a little bit.
After we went back to climbing Me, Mrs Wiersma and Hope had taken a picture of us sleeping on those comfy things.
We only had 1 hour to go back to school because we were supposed to go at 2:00pm. Everyone was so excited and they didn't want to leave.

2:00pm everybody was sad because we were going. We went back to the front and took of our harnesses and put them in 1 nice neat pile.

Jasmine and Bella said thankyou on behalf of room1. We went into the bus and drove back to school.
2:30pm we got back to school and everyone was so tired well not everyone some of us.

A very speical friend

In 2009 I met a very special friend in Room1. Her name was Jasmine. We first started to talk to each other and got to know each other as well. Then we became friends. We helped each other. We trusted each other to. Jasmine was a very nice person.
Also we got along. Sometimes we fight-ed and got angry with each other but then we still got along. We worked as a team together.  We always shared together. We sat next to each other. We play with each other every morning tea times and lunch times. We usually walked around the school because it used to be so boring nothing to do. With both of us together we had heaps of fun out doors and in doors.
The best part was we always shared secrets and we always promised that we wouldn’t tell anybody even if they are a trust worthy friend never ever tell. We shared funny jokes. We never said mean things to each other. It was always me and Jasmine working together when we had to be partners.  On her birthday i always wished her happy birthday. On my birthday she always wished me happy birthday too.
Sometimes she would make me a birthday card. Sometimes i would make her one as well.
We always planned things for our friends birthdays also see if they get surprised. On 2010 on Hopes birthday we planned hopes birthday party with the whole class at school. When my mum brang the cake hope was really happy but she felt really sad because i had spent heaps of money for her.  That was a great Idea.
A week later I knew that Jasmine was a Great friend and that she was the right person to be my friend.

My Adventure at Spookers

“OMG we’re going to Spookers” I screamed at my cousin Artika. Me and Artika were very excited to go to Spookers because we loved horror movies and we always wanted to go to Spookers.

We got to go to Spookers because my mum was a staff member there. We also got in for free.

Before leaving home I told myself if I get to scared the all I have to do is say Stop and put my hands in the air.  “Girls come on are you ready yet” my mum asked me and my cousin. “Girls its time to go” my mum called me and my cousin “Okay mum we will be down in a minute” I replied back to my mum.

“Yey we’re here” I spoke to myself.  Then my mum parked and said that we are not allowed to poke the actors if they scare you otherwise you will get kicked out.

I was really scared to go in but then I mumbled to myself if I’ve gotten this far I have to be brave and go inside no matter what.

I walked into the building and there were so many actors getting ready to come and scare us.

We found my mums boss Joe in the function room and he asked mine and my cousins name we said “Shyniya and Artika” he replied back to us “Well that is very hard to  remember lets just put your names to Tim and Bob” I started t laugh because when he called my cousin Bob he bobbed down.

After a moment we went through the Haunted house I was so scared because on the first section because there were theses big containers that Joe was shaking and I thought they were going to fall on us.

Then we went through the army and when we went through the army it was funny because I got to play with the gun. Then when we went through the ball room it was kind of cool because there was this lady who was trying to grab our feet and we had to run through the ball room. I started to giggle along with my cousin.

Then after the Haunted House Joe lead us to Disturbia. Disturbia was a 3D vortex movie theatre that showed us really scary stuff. While we were watching the movie I had a feeling that the ghosts were coming to catch us. I was feeling very scared but I didn’t scream.

When we were done at Disturbia Jo tried to make us scared by locking us in a cell. We weren’t scared because that lead us to Claustrophobia. Claustrophobia wasn’t really scar y because there was only A ugly looking clown. I was feeling so excited because we got to see some very awesome things.

Straight after Claustrophobia Jo took us to Corn evil. The best was saved for last because it was scary. There were heaps pf people surrounding me and Artika who looked very scary. They all had chainsaws with them. I thought they were going to cut our heads open. When they all went back into a room me and my cousin yelled out “RUNNNNN!!” We both hid somewhere they wouldn’t find us. I was hiding behind a large rock. Then came along a person with a chainsaw he was trying to find me he went forward and I put my leg out. He tripped over and I ran away. It was really funny.

Finally it was time to go home cause Jo said that the tour was over we went back into the café where my mum was waiting for us.

I told my cousin that was the scariest experience of my life.

My Term1 Holiday

\ On the last day of term1 I was really excitied because it was the started of the school holidays.

On the first week I was at my dad’s house. It was really boring because I didn’t get to do anything or go anywhere. Finally I got to go to the Manukau Mall on Thursday.
The first thing I did as soon as I was inside the mall I went to the cinemas to see HOP with my cousin Artika. We had a large popcorn and we had 2 kapati’s and also 2 frozen cokes.  The movie was really cool.  The movie was based on a Easter bunny called HOP.

After the movie i went to smiggle to get some stuff that I could use at school. I bought pens, rubbers and heaps of pencils.

I also went to a couple of shops to buy some shoes and clothes for myself. But about 2 hours later I had to go back home.

In the second weekend it was Easter. On Easter all my cousins came over to my house and we had a easter hunt. Before all my cousins had come over my dad had hid the easter eggs inside the house and outside in the compound.

It was very easy to find the first one because the first one was inside my bedroom on top of my dressing table. He He He :P

After the hunt I got a whole bunch of easter eggs from my aunties and uncles.

On the second week I went to Tauranga. I went with my Grandma and Uncle. We went in my dad’s Van because my uncles van was on repair. We went in the morning at 9:00 and we got there are 1:00 in the afternoon.
